Abia Women Support Uche Ogah, Back Him For Governor 2019

Abia State women have expressed their desire to have Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, the chairman of Masters Energy Oil & Gas come 2019 for a change in Abia, and for the sake of progress in the area. The women, under the aegis of the Abia Women for Better Abia (ABWA), a vocal political pressure group revealed this in a news conference held recently in Aba, Abia State.

According to the spokesperson of the group, Mrs. Francisca Nwogu, there is an urgent need to vote in an experienced Personality and industrialist like Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah to end impunities in Abia and develop our state. She said this was necessary to attract sustainable development to the Abia which has faced utter neglect for so long.

The women said that the incumbent governor has been owing Salaries and pensions and couldn't deliver any meaningful projects in Abia but only favourable hypes from his aids. "We cannot feel his impact in Abia as the state is still backward backwardness.

“The time has come for dynamism to be introduced into Abia state to make our people smile for once. We have constantly played a second fiddle to other States in the nation even when we claim to have a governor. Enough is enough,” she bellowed.

The women said judging by the strength of character of Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, who has paid Abia State's debt even from his own pocket and paid salaries he never owed, they would recommend him for Governor.

“It is our belief that His Excellency Dr. Ogah who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, can carry our torch well. We want to try him. What he has done for Abia States ordinary businessman, we trust that he will also do more as Governor.

“Of a truth, we are not really interested in which party the best man emerges from. All we are interested in who will bring a better life to us. We have suffered neglect long enough. Time is of the essence as our people are getting impatient to witness true change. At the moment, only Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah can achieve this,” the spokesperson concluded.
