Rep. Sam Onuigbo Bags Mouthpiece of Community Youths Award; Facilitates massive empowerment

The Abia State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development has bestowed the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Rep. Sam Onuigbo, with the award of “Mouthpiece of Abia Community Youths”.  The Ministry said the award was in recognition of Rep. Onuigbo’s numerous contributions to the development and empowerment of youths in Abia State. 

The award was presented to Rep. Onuigbo at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, Abia State, on November 30, 2020. 

Reacting to the receipt of the award, Rep. Onuigbo described the youths of every society as the cornerstone of its security architecture and its future and thus cannot be dispensed with. This is why in everything he does, he has always prioritized the growth and development of the youths, as a better future is built for the state and country. 

The award is coming on the heels of a massive entrepreneurship and empowerment programme for over one thousand youths, facilitated by Rep. Sam Onuigbo. The programme saw over a thousand women and youths from Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South LGAs trained on how to start and manage small businesses, with stipends provided for each trainee.
