The candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC for the Abia central senatorial race, Hon Dr John Abraham Godson,
has promised more support for Peter Obi in Abia.
Dr Godson expressed joy for the unwavering support being accorded to the labour party presidential candidate Peter Obi, by a large majority of the people in the state.
According him " I am in ADC and he is in LP but we share the same ideology in terms of what we have for the people" so I will be asking my supporters to rally round Peter Obi.
Speaking in his Umuokpara Umuahia South Local Government Area home, Dr Godson said Obi represents the hope of the common man and hence Abians are enthusiastic to support his aspiration to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said: “I am impressed with what I am seeing amongst the youths today and I must say that I am not surprised by the love and the huge support Peter Obi is enjoying in Abia State at the moment.
Abia central youths have always identified with whatever is in the best interest of the common man.” "so when they vote for Obi, they will vote for me", "When they vote for me, they will vote for Peter Obi. We are both going to record an overwhelming victory in the forthcoming general elections. He said:
“We are working to ensure that I dont only emerge victorious but that Peter Obi wins 90 per cent of the votes to be cast in the state.
“So this is going to be an unprecedented coalition of progressives from across parties and persuasions aligning with ADC and Peter Obi.” He said.
