My name is Ncheta Omerekpe (offor ndi Igbo) a business man, a politician and the founder of Ncheta Omerekpe foundation, whom God has enabled over the years to touch the lives of people in Abia State and beyond.
Just like Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians in 2nd Timothy 4vs7; I hereby write to the Good people of Abia State before we go the polls on Saturday 25th of February 2023 to elect the next President and members of the National Assembly.
It is on record that few days ago, some failed politicians in the state recruited some miscreants who went to the Radio Station parading themselves as coordinators of Ncheta Omerekpe Foundation, declaring support for the Governor and his candidates in the upcoming elections.
I want to state categorically that this is a lie from the pit of hell. I have openly made my position and that of my teaming supporters known to Abians through all the radio stations, that we do not have anything to do with the failed administration of Dr. Okezie Ikepazu.
I see this desperate move of these failed politicians taking too far in order to divert the attention of the suffering Abians from the main issue at hand.
The meaning of “NCHETA” is to “REMEMBER“; and I want Abians to remember the following as they go to the polls on Saturday:
1. Abians should remember and ask the Governor about the state of Obohia, Faulks Road and Ogbor Hill roads. They should ask the Governor to explain to them what offense they have committed.
2. Abians should remember and ask the Governor about people’s houses that were demolished at Port Harcourt Road without compensation and also the state of the road today.
3. Abians should ask the Governor why he has failed to maintain the Ururuka road (a road that leads directly to his house) in his last eight years. This road was reconstructed from Isicourt in Umuahia to waterside in Aba by Orji Uzor Kalu who is not even from Ngwa.
4. The President, Muhammadu Buhari revealed that has paid almost 600 Billion Naira on the 13% derivation to the oil producing states in the last 2months. Abians should ask the Governor what he used the funds to do for them. Abians should ask the Governor what offense the people of Ukwa has committed for allowing them go through hardship and suffering.
5. Traders in Aba, (Ariaria, Ahia Ohuru and many others) should ask the Governor the offense they have committed over the last years.
I have received so many calls from traders crying of losing their shops and source of livelihood since the remodeling of Ariaria international market, a scheme that I see as a ploy by the Governor and his team to take people’s shops.
6. Abians should ask the Governor where are the funds which have been paid to the local government from the federation over 8years of his administration. What has he used it for? They should also ask him why civil servants and pensioners are dying, because their salaries/pensions are not being paid. Doctors, lecturer are been owed. I understand that if the lecturers and doctors are not on strike now, they are planning to go strike soon.
7. The Governor promised that he will complete the Enyimba Economic City, Abia Airport etc.. Abians should ask the Governor about the state of these projects presently and funds budgeted for theses projects. Abians should also ask the Governor where the Federal Government counterpart funding on the Enyimba Economic City project is?
I, Ncheta Omerekpe, is aware that the above questions and many more cannot be answered in Favour of the Governor.
The Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu led administration has deceived the good people of Abia State and should not be trusted. I plead with Abians NOT to vote for the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.
Having worked with the senate for over 20years and in my vast experience, the senate is a place where hardworking and distinguished men and women of truly impeccable character represent their constituency.
On that premise, I implore Abians to vote for Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who has these qualities in abundance.
It will be a tragedy for Abia South senatorial district not have a strong character like Senator Abaribe representing them. They will live to regret it, God forbid!
As an elder statesman, who knows the workings of the country, devoid of sentiment or party affiliation, I plead with all my supporters and lovers of truth in Abia State to vote as follows:
a. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President (PDP)
b. Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe for Abia South Senatorial District (APGA)
c. Hon. Darlington Nwokeocha for Senate, Abia Central (Labour Party)
d. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for senate, Abia North senatorial district ( APC)
These are men who have milestone achievements that is evident for all to see.
In this regard, our House of Representatives candidate have been introduced to our coordinators and have been advised accordingly.
These upcoming elections will serve as a referendum to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to highlight his failed administration and also serve as a lesson to others who have failed alongside the Governor.
I plead to all Abians to maintain peace and orderliness as we go to the polls on Saturday.
God bless Abians.
Signed
Ncheta Omerekpe (Offor ndi Igbo)
