Nnaji Obed Asiegbu, YPP Candidate for Umuahia North State Constituency has Congratulated Dr Alex Otti, the Governor Elect Abia State. We are very pleased that a new dawn is set for growth and prosperity of Ndi Abia.
According to Obed Nnaji, Electioneering is not a task for the faint- hearted or the unserious or pretentious minds. It demands great courage, capacity and resourcefulness. He therefore advices Dr Alex Otti to begin healing process and move Abia forward.
Furthermore, Hon Obed thanked the food people of Ohuhu who supported him during the demanding times of the campaign and election.
"Notwithstanding the outcome of the just concluded House of Assembly elections in Abia State. I am wholly convinced that it is in our self-enlightened interest to quickly and responsibly redeem our suppressed greatness as Ndi Ohuhu.
This will promote us and protect future generations. Therefore, A NEW OHUHU is a selfless promise that must be met with great courage.
We went into the race believing that the new electoral law will safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
However, manipulation of electoral votes such as over voting and other irregularities were recorded. There were cases of hijacking of electoral materials and officials at Umukabia the country home of the APC Governorship Candidate.
These irregularities were reported to the INEC yet INEC readmitted the results from the affected polling units that were initially cancelled with the highest protection, harassment and intimidation by the Military and the Police in our own Ohuhu land.
However, my team and I have decided to push forward with our efforts to ensure that the people’s mandate are restored to who ever will emerge genuinely.
Meanwhile, I must appeal to Ndi Ohuhu to embrace peace and continue to work for the progress of Ohuhu.
We must avoid utterances which readily leads to division amongst us. We must extend due courtesies to each other, parents and elders. May I also condemn the act of aggression against Ndi Ohuhu by those that involved in violation of the rights of Ndi Ohuhu using hired brute forces on the day of the election and during the collation of results at Nkwoegwu Centre on the 18th March, 2023.
No tempest of politics should be strong enough to break this current of brotherhood and amity in our land.
On the other hand, I am grateful to all the amazing people that helped me to this level…Your donations and encouragement are greatly appreciated. Those virtues that you saw in me would never be exchanged for anything less.
