The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Item Ward, Abia State Executive members comprising Innocent Esonu (DEPUTY CHAIRMAN) Jackson Agu igwe (YOUTH LEADER) Orji Eze (P.R.O) Uguru Nnanna (AUDITOR) Ude Obande (Ex-OFFICIO) have denied reports that they have resigned from the party alongside Cosmos Ndukwe.
A statement issued on 10th May 2024 signed by the ward Deputy chairman, Innocent
Esonu and copied to Rt Honourable Asiforo Okere the state PDP Chairman, described the reports as "false and misleading". They reaffirmed their commitment to the PDP and pledged to continue working towards the party's success in the state.
"We have not resigned from the PDP, and we have no intention of doing so," the statement reads. "We remain loyal to the party and its leadership, and we will continue to work towards the party's victory in all elections."
The executives urged party members and supporters to disregard the reports, which they described as "propaganda" aimed at causing confusion and discord within the party.
"We are focused on building a stronger and more united PDP in Item Ward C and Abia State, and we will not be distracted by false reports and propaganda," the statement concluded.
