As the Abia State government gears up for the forthcoming Local Government Area (LGA) elections, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) councilorship candidate for Ndume Ward, Umuahia North LGA, Hon. High Chief Lawrence Ohaeri, has sounded a clarion call for change. During a recent declaration, he emphasized that Ndume Ward has faced neglect for too long, urging the people to rally behind leadership that can deliver on their needs.
In his statement, Ohaeri stressed the importance of voting beyond party lines, focusing instead on electing capable and accountable leaders. "This is not a time to talk about party but about having capable hands to deliver the needs of the people," he said. He went on to pledge that a vote for him would be a vote for transparency, accountability, and the provision of services that the ward has long been denied.
Ohaeri’s candidacy has sparked discussions within the community as voters weigh their options ahead of the election, with many expressing hope for a fresh start in leadership for the long-neglected ward.
