In his reaction, Onyeze questions the government on the rationale for locking up the state economy and asking people to stay at home when 50% of her citizen depend on daily wages for daily bread. "How can you ask someone to stay at home with less than nothing subjecting him or her to Hunger-Virus which kills faster than Corona Virus" He asked.
"As far as I'm concerned, the state has not in any way done any palliative to Abians because you won't claim you are given palliative when before it gets to the grassroots the people will be getting one cup of rice and two sachets of Noodles, This is heart breaking. This is what happens here and it's another level of politicking with human lives and we won't take it"
He calls On Governor Okezie Ikpeazu's Government to make open how much the state has spent on palliatives and how much individual donors had contributed and see if the state had done enough for her citizens minus praise singers. Onyeze went ahead to ask the state Government to allow people free movement if the government cannot afford her citizen quantitative palliatives that will enable one to stay at home successful.
"How long can 5 to 10 cups of Rice take someone? Will you be eating rice and noodles everyday? Are there not other items one would need to buy with money"
He went on to thank Dr Greg Ibe the Chancellor Gregory University Uturu Abia State for his numerous donations to the state government and various communities, describing him as a rear gem.
