PROJECT SPREE: Chief Whip Hon Emeka Obioma commissions Projects, says more to come.

The member representing Umuahia South in the Abia House of Assembly and Chief Whip, Hon. Emeka Obioma Tommy, cordially invites the general public to a significant event marking the commissioning of several community development projects. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

The day will commence at 12 PM with the official commissioning of the newly renovated Okwu Primary School in Okwu Olokoro. This renovation represents a key investment in the educational infrastructure, aiming to provide better learning environments and resources for our children.

Following the school commissioning, two new borehole projects will be inaugurated. The first borehole, located at Amibo Ubakala in Ubakala Ward B, will be commissioned at 2 PM. This borehole will provide much-needed access to clean and safe drinking water, which is essential for the health and well-being of the community members. Shortly after, the second borehole project will be commissioned at Ohiya Omaegwu Ward. This project also aims to improve water accessibility, ensuring that the residents have a reliable source of potable water.

These projects underscore our commitment to improving the living standards in our communities through strategic investments in both education and essential services. The ceremony will be honored by the presence of the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, who will officially commission the renovated school and the borehole projects. Other principal officers and members of the Abia House of Assembly, including the Mayor of Umuahia South LGA, will also be in attendance.
