Drama as Pondei NDDC MD looses consciousness during Senate Committee questioning

The House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission is probing the alleged illegal expenditure and mismanagement by the NDDC.

The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Daniel Pondei, fainted while being questioned by the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission about the spending of the commission since he took over.


Reacting to the video which has gone viral, many Twitter users in a thread described it as shameful noting that Nigerian leaders are jokes and embarrassment to the nation.
A Twitter user @s1 tweeted “If not for coronavirus, the NDDC MD will be asking for treatment abroad tomorrow….COVID-19 is not all gloomy for us as a country, nobody on trial has applied for foreign treatment since Feb, none of them has died, even our president is getting fresher with just Aso Rock massage.

You will recall that the former Managing Director of the NDDC, Joy Nunieh had earlier testified before the committee at the National Assembly in Abuja.
