Never offer yourself to be used against the Speaker: Apugo

Comrade Benjamin Ifeanyi Apugo has urged a section of Abians not to give in to allowing themselves to be used to blackmail or intimidate the speaker of Abia house of assembly ,Eng Chinedum Orji. Culled from a paragraph of the
length interview he granted to the press, he urged those who have sold their conscience and offered themselves to be used to destroy ikuku to have a rethink and repent from their sins, especially those who are from the same clan with the speaker, he said that if they don't , they will surely live to regret it.

In his words: My brother tell me any reason on earth why any sensible person from our clan or Ikwuano umuahia will offer himself to be used to destroy Ikuku, it doesn't make sense at all, the speaker is our pride, he is our negotiator, he is our bait , he is our last man standing , without him our people might at as well be treated like second class citizens in Abia ruling parties  politics, he is the only person who can visit the Governor and discuss on the interest of the people , others we know from here who go there only do so for their selfish interest , to get approvals for themselves from the governor, so how on earth would we  allow anyone touch or tamper Ikuku, what will be left of us? Who can stand on our behalf against humiliation and intimidation from other zones? Of course no one. Let those people who all they do is visit the Governor to blackmail ikuku use that time and opportunity to remind the governor of our traffic lights that have gone off for a while now, remind him of some projects that needs to be completed to beautify the capital city, rather than go their to blackmail ikuku. We know them one after the other, before this interview is over I will personally mention their names, at least the person I know.

Well we know the governor as a man of peace, in fact he has once asked his people a question, if they were asked to present a governor would any one of them had thought of him Ikpeazu? Of course no, so what would the fight be for? Is there any bill the executive presented that the speaker and the house didn't approve? Is there any request from the executive they turned down? Has anyone from old bende(Even those who are not happy with the governor) directly or indirectly sponsored by the speaker  criticized or cajoled the governor ?of course none that we know. Ikuku is a man of peace, he  is God sent ,so many people misunderstand his posture, in fact we will ask him to start laughing more often in public. Hardly you see anyone who have come across him that he has not impacted in their life, financially or otherwise, even the so called rich men, you can go and ask him colleagues in the house of Assembly, even the ones from the opposition party, they will all attest to it.

Again I ask, what will the fight be for? If not for selfish interest, from those who think if ikuku is destroyed they will take over, but how can they? What capacity do they have to do so? I  have received calls from so many close allies of the governor, and they keep pointing to same person as the architect of blackmail against the speaker, and they keep asking me why such a person will be that ungrateful, asking me to call him to order.

So we encourage the governor and his wife to continue in their peaceful and Godly posture , and by the grace of God Abia will reach our destination.

Let me once again urge every one from old bende, to no matter their differences with Ikuku , not to allow anyone try to blackmail or pull down our only pride Ikuku.
