Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant, Mascot Uzor Kalu, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has congratulated women across Abia State and Nigeria as the world commemorates International Women’s Day.

In a message marking the global celebration, Chief Kalu praised the resilience, enterprise, and courage of women, describing them as the backbone of families, communities, and the economy. He noted that women in Abia State have continued to demonstrate remarkable strength and dedication in business, education, agriculture, and community leadership.
Chief Kalu particularly commended Abia women for their well known entrepreneurial spirit, which has contributed significantly to the state’s commercial vibrancy and economic development. According to him, the success of many markets, small businesses, and family enterprises across the state is largely driven by the determination and hard work of women.
Reflecting on the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Give To Gain,” he emphasized the importance of creating more opportunities for women through empowerment programs, access to education, and support for female entrepreneurs. He stressed that when societies invest in women, the result is stronger families, thriving communities, and sustainable development.
The Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant further called on leaders at all levels to prioritize policies and initiatives that promote gender inclusion and protect the rights and dignity of women.
