It was an ecstatic moment at ofeme autonomous community as people from different all walks of life gathered to witness the finals of Amaetiti Unity Cup football organized by Prince Raymond onyinye ofoebgu.
The football competition which was groomed from the quest to unite and engage the youth meaningfully. The finals witnessed Villages in Ofeme compete amongst themselves namely umuada, umuezike, umueze and Ihitte Obinugwu.
The peace loving and philanthropist prince Raymond onyinye ofeogbu during his speech called on other stakeholders to support the tournament in other to make it an annual event that will foster peace and discovery of talented youth.
The competition which started on the 4th of January ended Tuesday 10th of January 2021 with
Umuda emerging the winner going home with a whopping N1,000,000 cash.
Presenting the prize to the winner the Honourable commissioner for finance Dr Aham Uko advised the youth to be studious with academics while acquiring vocational skills. He asked them to also endeavour to pursue their education while they use their sporting skills.
Umuezike team emerged the second position and was awarded respectively.
According to Mr Raymond Onyinye Ofoegbu, Our foundation also gave free medical services on 1st and 2nd Jan 2021 to ndi Ohuhu,
Delivered many rappers to widows,
of Ohuhu and paid for the WAEC/NECO/JAMB of our sons and daughters.
We also distributed many laptops to some Undergraduates and Encouraged many graduates without jobs in our community through counciling and financial support
Graded many roads and Reconstructed the community school field single handedly.
In furtherance, we are planning to build Afor Umuda market road to
Ulonna North Farm settlements
From next week to link the 2 major agricultural rich communities together for more food supplies. He added.
The event witnessed lots of dignitaries from far and near including the Commissioner for Finance Dr Aham Ukoh, Former Executive Chairman of Umuahia North Hon Chidiebere Nwoko, the President of Ohuhu Youths in Dallas USA among others.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of trophy to winners of the Amaetiti Unity Cup.
