South East and Abia ace Broadcaster and OAP IGOYAN BABA (real name Bright Ejike) has appealed to Abia State Government to consider the plight of the people and adjust the Curfew imposed in the state since April 2021. He argued that the curfew scheduled for 8pm to 6am everyday has significantly outlived its purpose hence the need to adjust it to 10pm to 6am.
According to Igoyan, their is hunger in the land and so many businesses in Umuahia and Aba thrive in the evening and majority of these business owners have been relegated to the background. “I commend the governor Okezie ikpeazu for being apt and his application of wisdoms in handling security challenges in the state which gave birth to the recent curfew and I also want to appeal to him to adjust the curfew with the fact that today’s Security breaches are nomore specific to a particular period of the day” he said. He therefore calls on the state government to adjust the ongoing curfew from 10pm to 6am. Businesses are crumbling and poverty rate is on the increase. Abians are finding it difficult to adapt with the current situation caused by insecurity.
Recall that a curfew was fixed in Abia, April after a jail break in Owerri imo state where many prisoners escaped and lives were lost.
